Gratitude

The state of being thankful is a recognition of the hard work and care poured into every step of the journey, from coffee cherry to cup.

Gratitude
Gratitude

It’s an appreciation for the producers who cultivate the beans, the roasters who bring out their unique flavors, and the communities they sustain. Gratitude fuels connection, reminding us that every sip of coffee is a shared story of dedication and purpose.

Humility

The state of being humble is a quiet acknowledgment of the unseen labor, the rich traditions, and the shared passion that bring each cup to life. Humility keeps us grounded, ensuring we honor the roots of our craft while building bridges between those who grow and those who savor.

Humility

Being humble means recognizing that we are merely stewards in the journey of coffee, connecting those who create with those who enjoy. It’s about valuing the expertise of producers, roasters, and service providers, knowing that their dedication deserves respect and celebration. Humility reminds us to listen, learn, and work together to uplift every voice in the coffee community.

One of the more interesting coffees this season. With a pleasantly funky, but sweet earthiness of raw sugar and figs this low acidity coffee makes for a unique blend component. The finish is tea like and oaky in a fascinating way.

So we get a lot of questions. And we have answers! If you have any questions we didn’t answer here, feel free to reach out.

What makes Bridging Tables different then a green coffee importer?

That’s a wonderful question. Bridging Tables, in some cases, works with importers. For roasters, we can replace or complement your relationship with importers. It’s up to you.

Our purpose and mission is to unlock market access for producers by making the coffee supply chain more efficient and durable. This, of course, involves importing coffee to deliver to roasters but also so much more.

If you’re a roaster, you’ll have access to pre-financing for higher volumes of coffee than possible with typical small importers. You’ll also gain direct access to producers through our platform. And we’re building the tools you need to better manage your inventory and ensure you’re receiving samples in time for the next harvest in your origin of choice. Have an idea of how we can help? Share it!

If you’re a producer, you’ll get paid sooner and better. Bridging Tables pays farmers within days of a trade, rather than weeks. You’ll also receive a better price for your coffee by selling directly to the roaster rather than a washing station or mill. Our team will ensure your coffee gets to export facilities efficiently. We'll also do a quality test before shipment. And we’ll notify you when it arrives at its destination.

If you’re a service provider, washing station, mill, or exporter then you’ll get paid by Bridging Tables for services rendered. That means a lot less risk on your part when moving specialty coffee through the supply chain.

If you’d like to speak with someone about Bridging Tables to learn more, please contact us.

Does Bridging Tables offer pre-financing for roasters and if so, how much?

We’re so glad you asked! Yes, we are indeed bringing buy-now-pay-later to specialty coffee trade. We believe access to financing is key for small and medium roasters AND importers to offer competitive quality and source directly from origin. So we’ve made access to innovative, reliable, and substantial financing core to what we offer at Bridging Tables.

Qualified roasters will be able to finance up to $5 million in green coffee purchases.

How does Bridging Tables work with producers?

We work with producers the absolute best way we know how: Directly. Our purpose and mission at Bridging Tables is to unlock market access for the producers that make enjoying specialty coffee possible. To this end, we have team members or partners in every origin country and empower producers to communicate directly with our team as well as with the roasters who buy their coffee.

By leveraging smartphone technology and integrated messaging, producers keep us up-to-date on harvest times, quantities, and conditions. Roasters will get notified as soon as samples are available for shipping. When a roaster wants to buy coffee, the producer is notified and can approve or reject the offer. The producer and roaster can also haggle on price, if they want to.

Bridging Tables also empowers producers through a growing network of partners, education, and other tools needed to sustain and grow small and medium shareholder specialty coffee farms. Learn more.

I don’t understand forward contracting. Can you explain why it’s innovative?

Costs to produce specialty coffee vary across growing regions but are impacted and “normalized” by the green coffee commodities market (for now, at least). Forward contracting aligns the value of specialty coffee (unique Arabica varietals grown) with market demand, decoupling this unique produce from the commodity market, which is driven by the price of Robusta produced by mechanized farming in Brazil and Vietnam. Learn more.

Does Bridging Tables offer origin trips?

We’re happy you asked because we hope you’ll come on one! We host origin trips several times a year. You can get in touch to learn more about those here.

In addition to bringing roasters to producers, we also bring producers to cupping events. Did you know that some producers have never tasted their own coffee? If you’d like updates about our featured producer cupping events, please let us know and we’ll reach out when the next one is scheduled.

How can I order a sample of coffee from Bridging Tables?

All you need to do to get a sample is select from the coffee available today that interests you and share a little bit of information with us. We’ll ship a sample directly to you.
